A major accident occurred on the set of Ram Charan’s production, The India House, when a water tank burst during filming
In a jaw-dropping and splashy turn of events, the shooting set of Ram Charan’s future production became a surprise swimming pool after a massive water tank exploded. The once-thought-to-be high-drama action scene turned into a real-life disaster movie without the background music.
The India House, a period drama produced by Ram Charan and starring Nikhil Siddhartha, had an unexpected accident yesterday during filming. While filming close to Shamshabad, a large water tank on set broke, causing the area to flood and becoming impassable.
When a water tank failed, a deluge of water was released and quickly flooded the set. The flood waters caused damage to set materials and expensive filming equipment.
Several crew members and an assistant camera operator were injured, but no life-threatening injuries occurred.
Nikhil Siddhartha referred to the scenario as a “big accident,” adding to fans that there was expensive equipment lost, but “by the grace of God, there was no human damage”.
Videos of the flood went viral on social media, leading to conversations about safety on set.
Production has been paused as the team looks to assess damage and implement safety measures before continuing.
The accident has sparked calls to fortify on‑set safety protocols, particularly for stunt safety and heavy equipment, especially involving water.
The incident highlights all of the hazards that exist today on film sets, indicating that there should be stronger safety measures in place, particularly for stunts or setups that require heavy equipment and water.
To see the increase in online views, given the number of viral videos showing the water demolishing the set. The videos bring awareness to the dangers of working behind the scenes that the crew members deal with regularly.
Currently, the production team is drying and fixing equipment, reinforcing on-site tanks, and going over safety protocols ahead of getting back to shooting.
There have been no official statements from either Ram Charan or Ram Vamsi Krishna, the film’s director, but close sources are saying they are keeping a close watch on the crew and the location.
