Bollywood is buzzing again, and this time it’s not about a glitzy premiere or a juicy romance — it’s a father going full fire mode to protect his son. Suniel Shetty, known for his cool attitude and solid action roles, has finally broken his silence — and oh boy, he’s not holding back.

In a recent interview with Zoom Entertainment, Suniel let loose on the people in the film industry who, he claims, have been running a dirty campaign against his son, Ahan Shetty. According to him, some powerful people were not happy that Ahan chose to do Border 2 instead of their film, and that’s when all the drama started.

Some folks spread stories in the press accusing Ahan of having a huge 10-person entourage. Suniel called it all lies and said people paid money to plant negative articles about his son. Why? Just because he said no to their films. Seriously, how petty can it get?

Suniel is so angry about the situation that he’s threatening to hold a press conference where he will publicly name everyone involved in this so-called smear campaign. He made it very clear — if this continues, he’s going to expose them one by one. He said, “Jiski dhajjiyan udani hain, uda dunga,” which roughly means, “Whoever needs to be blown up (figuratively), I’ll do it.” Talk about papa bear rage!

But what hit home was how emotional he got while talking about how these fake reports have affected Ahan’s career. Suniel revealed that Ahan was removed from several projects, and it was made to look like it was his fault. But in reality, it was all about politics and bruised egos. He even asked, “Do you think I don’t have contacts? Do you think I can’t do the same thing?” That’s a major mic drop moment.

Suniel also opened up about why Ahan chose to do Border 2. He said he advised his son to treat this movie like it’s the last film he’ll ever do, because it’s that important. Border 2 is a sequel to the iconic war film Border, which starred Suniel himself and is still loved by audiences even after all these years. Suniel believes this new film will also become a patriotic classic that people will watch every Independence Day and Republic Day for years to come.

Ahan apparently had plenty of other film offers lined up, but he chose Border 2 because of the emotional connection to the original film and his love for the country. Now that’s some real passion. Suniel said this movie will keep Ahan alive in the hearts of people, just like Border did for him.

It’s honestly really sad to learn that Ahan is missing out on big breaks due to industry politics. He is still new, he only has one film, Tadap, which was released in 2021 and was a reasonable hit, earning over Rs 30 crore at the box office. People saw potential in him, but the behind-the-scenes negativity seems to have slowed down his journey.

Suniel also made it clear that his family isn’t entitled or showy. He said he still pays for his food, doesn’t take advantage of producers, and has raised Ahan with the same values. According to him, all this false press about his son being difficult or having an attitude is made up and done out of jealousy.

At this point, Border 2 is not just a film anymore — it’s personal. It’s Ahan’s chance to prove everyone wrong and win back the love of the audience, and you can bet Suniel will be cheering the loudest. With stars like Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh also in the film, it’s already looking like a blockbuster in the making.
